It’s important to not just suck in your belly, but to focus on sucking in your belly from your belly button. After you’ve sucked in your belly as much as you can, hold the “sucked in” position for as long as possible (up to a minute). You can slowly let air out, but try not to breathe fully. If you have heart or lung problems, you may want to skip doing this exercise. But for the rest of you, just be sure to keep the tension for at least 15 seconds. . . but even longer, up to a minute is better for results.
